GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver denarius, (2.948 grams), Rome mint, obv. laureate bust to right of Gordian III, draped and cuirassed, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. Salus standing to right, feeding serpent held in arms, around SALVS AVGVSTI, (S.2475, RIC 129A, RSC 325). Good very fine/very fine, scarce.
