LUCIUS VERUS, (A.D. 161-169), AE as, Rome mint, (11.456 grams), issued A.D. 163, obv. Laureate head to right, around IMP CAES L AVREL VERVS AVG, rev. Fortuna seated to left, holding rudder and cornucopiae, S C across field, around FORT RED TR POT III, COS II in exergue. (S.5410, RIC 1352, BMC 1065, C.98). Attractive brown patina, minor weaknesses, otherwise good very fine and very scarce.
