VALENS, (A.D. 364-378), silver siliqua, Trier mint, (2.298 grams), obv. pearl-diademed bust of Valens to right, around DN VALEN S PF AVG, rev. VRBS ROMA around, Roma enthroned to left, holding spear and Victory, TRPS. in exergue, (S.4071, RIC 27e, RSC 109a). Toned, nearly extremely fine.
