CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver antoninianus, issued 217, Rome mint, (3.602 grams), obv. radiate bust draped to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Serapis standing to left, holding wreath and sceptre, around P M TR P XX COS IIII P P, (S.6780, RIC 289a, RSC 383). Good extremely fine portrait, otherwise extremely fine and very scarce.
