THRACE, Island off Thrace, Thasos, (early 5th century B.C.), silver drachm, (3.388 grams), obv. naked ithyphallic Satyr in a kneeling running attitude carrying off protesting nymph, rev. quadripartite incuse square, (S.1358 [£200], BMC 12, McClean 4200). Fine and scarce.
