EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy IV, (221-204 B.C.), AE 38, drachm, (70.60 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, cornucopiae over shoulder, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU, between legs **SE*, dotted border, (S.7814, Sv. 992, BMC 69-71, SNG Cop. 205-6, Pitchfork 35-48, Koln 61 [attributes issue to Ptolemy III between 247-243 B.C.). Attractive large flan, good very fine, scarce.
