EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy III, (246-221 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.12 grams), Sidon mint, issued year 3 = 244-3 B.C., obv. diademed head of Ptolemy I to right with dotted border, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on a thunderbolt, to left **SI above IH, **G to right over monogram, around **[SWTHROS] PTOLEMAIOU, (BMC 18, Sv.1028, cf.S.7810). Very fine.

Ex Dr. Colin Burnside Collection, and from Noble Numismatics Sale 62 (lot 1938), previously from the Ponterio Auction July 12, 1994 (lot 424) and Noble Numismatics Auction Sale 49 (lot 2089).
