MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), AE 18, (5.05 grams), Amphipolis mint, issued c.325-310 B..C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. above quiver and bow, B A between, club and wreath below, (cf.S.6742, Price 388, BMC 388, cf.Num. Chron. 1969 (Pl.11,10). Very fine.

Ex Ex Dr. Colin Burnside Collection, and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 56 (lot 1816) and previously Kenneth A. Jacobs Collection with his tickets.
