ITALY, Campania, Naples, (c.420-400 B.C.), silver stater, (7.10 grams), obv. head of female (nymph) to left, with diadem, rev. man-headed bull to left, Nike above flying to left, in exergue **[NEOPOLIT], (cf.S.299 [£225], Rutter 95 [obv. die 60, rev. die 83], SNG Munich 213 [same dies]). Worn, nearly fine, very scarce.

Ex Dr. Colin Burnside Collection, and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 58 (lot 3457). Most examples of this period that come from this mint are worn coins. Three examples are known from this die combination.
