MARCUS AURELIUS, (A.D. 161-180), gold aureus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 162, (7.152 grams), obv. laureate bust of Marcus Aurelius draped and cuirassed to right, around IMP M AVREL ANTONINVS AVG P M, rev. around CONCORDIAE AVGVSTOR TR P XVI COS III, Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus standing facing each other with clasped hands, (cf.S.4853, RIC 11, C.69). Very fine and rare.
