SCOTLAND, Alexander III, (1249-1286), silver penny, first coinage, issued from 1250-c.1280, Perth mint, moneyer Ion Cokin, obv. bust left, rev. IOH/AN /ON/RTH, four mullets or stars of six points in each angle, (S.5043). Slightly ragged edge for about a quarter of the coin, blue and gold tone, good very fine and rare.
