CITY BANK OF SYDNEY, Sydney NSW, a promisary note on standard form, No.7/7219, due 6th January 1871 for five hundred pounds, signed by Philip McCarroll to Daniel O'Conner and issued October 3, 1870 and Payable at the City Bank of Sydney. Signed front and endorsed on the back of note by Daniel O'Conner and Philip McCarrol and Sullivan & Tindall. Good fine and rare.

Apparently this note failed to be honoured and resulted in meetings during 1871 between solicitos and McCarroll etc., for settlement.
