SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 208, (4.300 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around SEVERVS PIVS AVG, rev. around P M TR P XVI COS III P P, Genius standing to left, holding patera and double cornucopiae, (S.6343, RIC 219, RSC 504). Nearly extremely fine and scarce.

An unusually heavy example of the denarius.
