SICILY, Syracuse, (274-216 B.C.), gold drachm, (4.258 grams), obv. head of Kore to left, wreath with corn, bucranium behind, dotted border, rev. charioteer driving fast biga to left E below, in exergue [IEP**W]NOS*, (cf.S.983, SNGANS 865-866 SNG Cop. 818,). Extremely fine and very rare.
