Lot 2211    Session 8 (2.30pm Thursday)    Indian Coins

Estimate $300
Bid at live.noble.com.au
SOLD $500

SHAH JAHAN II, Rafi-ud-Daula, (A.H.1131, A.D.1719), gold mohur, year 1, (1719), 11.094 grams, Surat mint, (KM.418.8). Extremely fine and very scarce.

Only a trace of the ruler'sd nane is disernable and no mint but the symbol on the issue is for Surat. Likewise the size of the flan suggest that this coin was struck in the above reign and not in Shah Jahan III reign.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
