GALERIUS AS CAESAR, (A.D. 305-311), silver argenteus, Ticinum mint struck as Caesar 295 A.D., (3.06 grams), obv. laureate head to right, around MAXIMIAN VS CAESAR, Rev. around VICTORIA SARMAT, the four princes sacrificing in front of a camp gate six turrets, nothing in exergue, (cf.S.3699, RIC 17b, RSC 208c). Struck on a large flan, brilliant and superb FDC, very rare.
