MAXIMIANUS, (A.D. 286-305), silver argenteus, Siscia mint struck as Augustus 294-5 A.D., (3.11 grams), obv. laureate head to right, around MAXIMIA NVS AVG, Rev. around VIRTVS MILITVM, the four princes sacrificing in front of a camp gate with eight turrets, nothing in exergue, (cf.S.3605, RIC 43b, RSC 625f). Struck on a large flan, attractive, nearly FDC and very rare.
