PROBUS, (A.D. 276-282), base silver antoninianus, Ticinum mint (3.40 grams), obv. radiate helmeted cuirassed bust to left of Probus with shield and spear, around VIRTVS PROBI INVICTI AVG, rev. Salus standing to right feeding serpent held in arms, around SALVS AVG, in exergue TXXI, II in left field, (cf.S.3367, RIC 501 variant). Lightly toned, broad flan, choice extremely fine.
