SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Laodicea mint, issued 198-202, (2.90 grams), obv. L SEP SEV AVG IMP XI PART MAX around, laureate head to right, rev. VICT PART HICAE around, Victory walking to left, holding wreath and trophy, before her seated Parthian, (S.1795, RIC 514, RSC 741). Good very fine.

Commemorative of Parthian victory.
