REPUBLIC, L. Cassius Longinus, (78 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.90 grams), obv. draped and veiled bust of Vesta to left, L before, rev. male figure dropping tablet inscribed V into cista, LONGIN III V behind, (S.-, B.Cassia 10, Cr.413/1, Syd.935). Flat strike, otherwise good very fine.
