EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy I, (323-283 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.24 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front P over MI monogram, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU, (cf.S.7773, Sv.252, SNG Cop 69). Nearly extremely fine, scarce in this condition.
