EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy I (323-283 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.7 grams), issued 310-305 B.C., obv. head of Alexander with horn of Ammon, clad in elephant skin and aegis, to right, rev. **ALEXANDPOU on left, Athena Alkidemos to right with spear and shield, KP monogram on right, above helmet, below lower right eagle to right, (cf.S.7750, Sv.164). Attractive red and blue tone, nearly extremely fine and rare.
