LYCIA, Lycian Dynasts, Mithrapata, (380-375 B.C.), silver stater, (9.8 grams), obv. facing lion scalp, triskeles below, M on cheek, rev. head of dynast Mithrapata left, around ME)(PAPA, trisceles behind, all within incuse square, (S.5225, Ash. Museum CIN 1961 ii, Pl.iii, 12 [same dies], Morkhom and Olcay 'The Coin Hoard from Podalia', (in Num.Chron 1971), Nos. 86-91, [dies A8/P8]). Small flan, good very fine and very rare.
