PELOPONNESUS, Lacedaemon (Sparta), Hadrian, (A.D. 117-138), AE 25 (10.5 grams), issued A.D.117-8, obv. laureate and bare bust draped of Hadrian to right, traces of legend around, rev. The Dioscuri on horseback galloping right holding spears, below **LAKE[DA] / IMONIW[N], (cf.S.1134, von Hoerschelmann (AMUGS VII) Group XXXVIII, series 7, p.180 same obverse die). Nearly fine/fine and rare.
