CHINA, Eastern (Tung) Wu Dynasty (A.D. 229-265), Ta Huang (A.D.232-237), round cash with square hole of value one thousand, four characters around, diameter 33mm, (Sch,197, TFP 435). Some heavy green encrustation on the reverse, otherwise very fine and rare.

Schjoth makes a comment that in A.D. 238 in the reign of this ruler large coins were cast with the legend one great cash value one thousand.
