LESBOS, Mytilene, c.450-338 B.C., electrum hekte (2.6 grams), Bodenstedt dates 358 B.C., obv. ivy leaf wreathed head of Dionysos to right, rev. female head (Persophone) to right, within linear square, (cf.S.4249/4250, Bodenstedt 89, Naville 16 [1933 sale, lot 1380]). Slightly off centred on the reverse, otherwise good very fine and rare.
