JULIUS CAESAR, (died 44 B.C.), imitative cast Paduan medal after Giovanni Cavino (1499-1570), of a fantasy sestertius by L. Aemilius Buca imitating the denarius, obv. laureate head of emperor to right, rev. Caduceus, crossed fasces, globe, axe and two hands clasped, (Lawrence 2). Nearly very fine.
