CARAUSIUS, (A.D. 286-293), base antoninianus, London mint, (4.83 grams), obv. radiate bust of Carausius to right, around IMP C CARAVSIVS P F AVG, rev. around PAX AVG, Pax standing to left, S P either side of Pax, MLXXI in exergue, (cf.S.3562, RIC 98 var.). Attractively dark toned, good very fine and scarce.
