PHILIP I, (A.D. 244-249), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 248, (4.38 grams), obv. radiate bust of Philip I to right, around IMP PHILIPPVS AVG, rev. around SAECVLARES AVGG, she-wolf suckling the twins, II in exergue, (S.2570, RIC 15, RSC 178). Darkly toned, nearly extremely fine.
