HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 119-122, obv. laureate head of Hadrian to right, drapery on far shoulder, around IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, rev. around P M TR P COS III, in exergue SALVS AVG, Salus seated to left, feeding snake, coiled around altar, (cf.S.1095, RIC 139, C.1354). Has been cleaned, otherwise nearly extremely fine.
