REPUBLIC, T. Carisius, (c.46 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.85 grams), obv. head of Aphrodisian Sibyl to right, border of dots, rev. Sphinx to right, around T. CARISIVS, in exergue III VIR, (S.321a, Cr.464/1, Syd.983b). Bankers mark on cheek, otherwise lightly toned, nearly very fine and scarce.
