REPUBLIC, Q. Sicinius and C. Coponius (c.49 B.C.), silver denarius, mint moving with Pompey, (3.93 grams), obv. diademed head of Apollo to right, star below, before Q SICINIVS, behind III VIR, rev. club upright on which hangs a lion skin, bow on right, arrow on left, C COPONIVS downwards on right, on left PR S.C., (S.311, Cr.444/1a, Syd.939). Lightly toned with trace of blue, good very fine.
