REPUBLIC, C. Piso L.f.Frugi, (c.61 B.C.), silver denarius, (3.91 grams), Rome mint, obv. Apollo head to right, ear behind, rev. horseman to right without whip, flail above, below C PISO L F FRV, (S.291; Cr.408 [DIES o114/r141) Syd.1035). Light scratches in obverse field, otherwise attractive and very sharply struck piece with good centring, good extremely fine and scarce.
