REPUBLIC, M. Vargunteius, (c.130 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.80 grams), obv. helmeted head of Roma to right, M VAR G (MAR ligated) behind, before *, rev. Jupiter in walking quadriga to right, in exergue ROMA, (S.210, Cr.257/1, Syd.507). Toned, attractive very fine.
