REPUBLIC, M. Junius Silanus, (c.145 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (4.12 grams), obv. helmeted head of Roma to right, ass's head behind, rev. dioscuri to right, below M IVN[I], in exergue ROM[A], (S.159, Cr.220/1, Syd.408). Flan flaw on obverse, otherwise extremely fine.
