REPUBLIC, Spurius Afranius, (c.150 B.C.), silver denarius, (3.94 grams), Rome mint, obv. Roma head to right, X behind, rev. Victory in biga to right, holding whip in right hand, below S AFRA, in exergue ROMA, (S.-; Cr.206/1, Syd.388). Attractive piece with good centring, extremely fine and scarce.
