EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy V, (204-180 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (13.78 grams), Tripolis mint(?), obv. diademed head of Ptolemy V to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt around BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOV, nothing between legs, erased monogram in left field, (cf.S.7871, cf.Sv.1296, SNG Cop.-). Good very fine.

The issue is unusual by having a portrait of Ptolemy V on the obverse. The issue appears unlisted in all major collections.
