EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.28 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, with aegis, D behind head, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front E over KL, over A, around BASILEWS [TOL]EMAIOU, (cf.S.7771, Sv. 376). Two small Bankers marks in field on obverse, otherwise very fine.
