QUEEN VICTORIA, proof set, 1877, silver and bronze issues of twelfth anna, half pice, quarter anna, half anna, two annas, quarter rupee, half rupee and rupee, all from Calcutta mint, (Pr. 38, -, 92, KM.448.1, cf.449.2, 450.2). Sharp FDC with attractive blue and gold tone on silver, copper brilliant, rare. (8)

Ex. S. Hagley Collection. $$ These pieces are restrikes, although the silver appear to have no evidence of any deteriation of the dies and are superb strikes witha most attractive patination.
