WILLIAM IV, restrike proof, gold double mohur, 1835, Calcutta mint, (23.30 grams), obv. Head to right, R.S. on truncation, rev. lion standing to left in front of palm, TWO MOHURS in exergue, milled edge, (Pr. 3, KM.452.1). A superb brilliant FDC.

Ex. Christie's London, July 15, 1980, (lot 26). $$ The double mohur was not present in the Dr. Lawrence Brent collection of 685 Indian Gold Coins (Spink-Taisai auction catalogue No.9).
