BRITISH - MUGHAL GOVERNOR ISSUES, for Akbarabad (Agra) under John William Hessing, Governor of Agra, in the name of Shah Alam II (A.H. 1173-1221, A.D. 1759-1806), copper paisa, obv. [J]WH over Regnal Year 42, rev. A.H. 12[16] (A.D. 1801-2), (Valentine 46, KM. 549.1). Very fine and very rare.

Ex. Glendining's 1964. $$ The use of the English letters JWH on the reverse are the initials of the British Governor of Agra, John William Hessing.
