MADRAS PRESIDENCY, European Style Coinages, First Issue, 1807, silver quarter pagoda, obv. Gopuram of a temple with 9 stars each side, around in English QUARTER PAGODA, rev. deity Vishnu standing surrounded by dotted circles, in native text 'quarter a flower (or star) pagoda', (Pr. 155, KM. 343). Nearly extremely fine and scarce.
