HOGARTH, Erichsen, Sydney silver threepence, 1860 (A.692). A brilliant prooflike striking in virtually mint state, the finest known and the most outstanding Australian token of all, nearly FDC and extremely rare. Ex Sir Marcus Clarke Collection and Spink Australia Sale 6 (lot 457). Purchased by Stanley Lipscombe at the Marcus Clarke Sale in 1954 and sold by him to E.H. Wythes of Sydney whose collection was included in Sale 6.
