INDIAN MUTINY MEDAL 1857-ONE BAR; Lucknow. Dr. Mr. A. McGregor 42nd RL Highlanders. Impressed slight surface scratches otherwise very fine.

Extract from Harts Annual Army List 1869: Captain McGregor served throughout the Eastern Campaign of 1854-55 including the battles of Alma and Balaklava, expedition to Kertch and Venikale, siege and fall of Sebastopol (medal and clasps and Turkish medal). Served the campaign of 1857-58 against the mutineers in India, including the action at Khoadagunj; siege and fall of Lucknow; attach on the fort at Rooyah; action at Ally Gunge and capture of Bareilly. (medal and clasp).
