SYRIA, Seleucid kingdom of Alexander I (Balas), (150-145 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (13.77 grams), Tyre mint, issue of 148/7 B.C., obv. bust of Alexander I to r., with diademed, rev. Eagle standing to l., on prow of galley, palm-branch behind, monogram above club, (cf.S.7033). Off centre obverse, nearly very fine.
