JOHN II, (1423-1448), silver half hyperpyron, (6.35 grams), struck at Constantinople mint, obv. bust of Christ facing with nimbus, rev. bust of John facing with legend around in two circles, (S.2563, LPC 1). Nearly extremely fine and scarce.
