WASHINGTON MEDAL, by Daniel Eccleston, in copper (Baker 85). Obv. Washington armoured bust right Rev. Indian standing front facing left, legend in concentric circles around. Extremely fine.

It has been noted that the medal appears to be more of a commentary of the expropriation by colonists of Indian lands rather than a tribute to Washington. Nevertheless, this medal is regarded as one of the most attractive medals struck honouring Washington.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price.
