BANK OF AUSTRALASIA, one pound, Wellington, 1 January 1890, B24220 (P. S117, but without 'Ld in the Perkins, Bacon imprint). Well circulated resulting in a number of small holes, otherwise very good.

There is a similar note numbered B33912, and an example dated 1885 in the ANZ Bank collection. The earliest date of this note outside bank collections is dated 1901, making this the only nineteenth century issued New Zealand note of this bank in private hands.
