UNKNOWN, 'Minting', French text. c.1755, with B/W engravings on 21 plates,, incl. European coins to 1755 on engravings, bound within large foolscap boards. France, 3pps.; 19 + 2 plates. Very fine and rare.

A most interesting series of engravings on minting techniques and machinery of the mid. 18th century. This monograph appears to be part of Diderot, D and d'Alembert, J. le R. publication of 17 volumes 'Encyclopedie' produced in Paris, 1751-1765.
