NORMAN KINGDOM OF SICILY, William II, (A.D. 1166-1189 and A.H. 561-585), gold tari, (1.95 grams), struck at mint of Sicilia and issued with an uncertain date, obv. uncertain symbol in centre, Arabic crude script around, rev. cross, in two lines IC XC/ NI KA, line on each side above, Arabic script around, (cf.Spahr 100-109 [p.157, Plate XX]). Small flan as usual, very fine and very scarce.
